Who writes our content

Every article on Blumira properties is written by a named author with verifiable credentials in information security or product marketing. We do not publish anonymous or ghost-written content on blumira.com or msp.blumira.com.

Our current author roster includes:

How content is reviewed

Every article that makes a security capability claim, cites a specific technical implementation, or covers a compliance framework is reviewed by a second named Blumira team member with relevant expertise before publication. The reviewer is credited in a "Technically reviewed by" block at the top of the article.

Where security technical depth is required, Amanda Berlin or another member of Blumira's detection engineering team reviews the piece. Where messaging, positioning, or market framing accuracy is the primary review need, Zoe Lindsey or a member of the marketing team reviews the piece.

How we cite sources

Every material claim on a Blumira content page is sourced. We lead with first-hand Blumira data (our detection corpus, customer outcomes, and platform telemetry) where it is available and appropriate, clearly labeled as Blumira's own research. External claims are sourced to primary research from analysts (Gartner, Forrester, Techaisle, Coalition, IANS) or authoritative security publications. We link directly to primary sources wherever possible.

We weight sources in this order, highest to lowest: (1) Blumira's own research, (2) named analyst research, (3) independent research and practitioner-community data, (4) vendor self-reported press releases, (5) AI-summarized claims. Vendor press releases are cross-checked against primary research before we rely on them as fact.

How we handle updates and corrections

Content on Blumira properties carries a visible "Last updated" date and a corresponding dateModified field in the article's structured data. Evergreen pillar content is reviewed at minimum every six months. Competitive comparison pages are reviewed quarterly or whenever a named competitor ships a material product change.

If we publish content that contains an error, we correct the content, update the "Last updated" date, and add a brief correction note at the top of the article when the correction is material.

How we handle competitive content

When Blumira publishes content that names other vendors, we source every claim to the vendor's own public statements, published product documentation, third-party research, or independent reviews (G2, Gartner Peer Insights, practitioner forums). We do not repeat unsourced criticism. We do not make claims about a competitor's roadmap or private financials without a primary source.

How first-hand data informs our content

Blumira has been building SIEM detection capability since 2018. Our platform runs continuous detection across customer environments, which gives our content a first-hand data foundation that most security-vendor marketing cannot match. When an article references a statistic or claim backed by Blumira's own telemetry or research, we label it clearly and describe the data source.
